  • Comment: More work is needed on this, though thank you for the work done to date.
    1) As per WP:BLP all material facts need supporting and a lot of facts are not supported by references, for example the Early life section.
    2) This looks like a WP:COI applies - if so this needs to be declared to ensure transparency.
    3) The source layout - while not prohibited - is not the conventional one and makes it difficult to access and assess the sources. I have changed current source 10, the Haaretz article, to illustrate this. That particular format isn't essential, but it's not sufficient just to title via a helpful quote.
    4) The Youtube source is troubling - it looks like it is hosted by the submitting editor and yet shows a TV programme. This may be a copyright issue, and if that is the case it can't be in a source.
    5) Notability is the biggest and first hurdle - and by the looks of it, the attempt here is on WP:ARTIST criteria 2. If so then we need rock-solid sourcing linking the subject to the innovation, and I can't see that, at least at this point in time. So the Haaretz article in independent reliable sourcing, yes it highlights the innovation, but it does not mention the subject. If the Haaretz article had a few paragraphs in it on the subject and the innovation that would be very different. The yNet story does mention the subject, but only in passing and does not clearly link the innovation to the subject.
    6) In that respect, it is not what the subject says or even does that is important, it is what other people say about the the subject. So that should be the focus of sourcing for notability.
    7) Very, very minor point, but usually there would be the Hebrew version of the subject's name mentioned after the English version. Not essential. ChrysGalley (talk) 22:52, 13 November 2025 (UTC)

Or (Ori) Matza (born January 31, 1991) is an Israeli-American musician, audio director, recording producer, screenwriter, and audio engineer. He developed the MPA method (Modular Perspective Audio)[1][2] – an innovative production approach based on creating a realistic, multi-layered listening experience from different perspectives.

Early life

Matza was born and raised in Tel Aviv. in 2006 he completed his studies at BPM College of Music Production.

Career

In 2018, Matza was appointed musical director of the Yiddishpiel Theater, where he composed, arranged, and produced music for the theater’s productions.

The Hive

In 2020, Matza, together with Alexa Lerner, created The Hive – the first audio drama series of its kind in the world, dealing with the crime world of Tel Aviv during the 1970s and 1980s.[3] The project marked a global breakthrough, as it was recorded entirely on real locations using three-dimensional audio technology[4]. This pioneering method later became the foundation of MPA – Modular Perspective Audio .The Hive was acquired and broadcast by Kan 11 – the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation and released in November 2021. In 2022, the series’ trailer won the Gold Award at the Promax Awards.[5][6]

There’s Someone Else in the Room – audio drama in complete darkness

In 2022, Matza produced an adaptation of Agatha Christie’s classic novel And Then There Were None, designed for listening in complete darkness. There’s Someone Else in the Room achieved notable commercial success and received wide critical acclaim[7][8][9].In a review for Haaretz, theater critic Nano Shabtai wrote:[10]

A recording so detailed, powerful, and immersive that it creates the uncanny impression that the characters are physically present with us at this very moment. The pouring of alcohol, small movements, a glass shattering, music and dialogue – all sound utterly alive, pulling the listener into a tension similar to that experienced by the characters themselves.

Altalena – Two Points of View

In 2023, Matza initiated a historic collaboration between the Ben-Gurion Heritage Institute, the Menachem Begin Heritage Center, and Galei Tzahal to produce a three-part narrative audio series about the Altalena Affair.[11] For the recordings, large-scale live sets were constructed to create unprecedentedly realistic audio scenes. The series was released by Galei Tzahal and, in 2025, received an official nomination at the International Radio Drama Festival in Canterbury, England.[12] [13]

Also in 2023, Audio Drama Studios – Matza’s production company – created the official narrative audio tour for Google.

October 6th

In 2024, Lerner and Matza created October Six for the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation[14].It became the first Israeli audio series to win award at the New York Festivals Radio Awards[15][16][17][18] – one of the most prestigious audio competitions in the world – alongside productions by Netflix, Wondery (Amazon), and CBC

Academic activity

Matza is a regular lecturer in academic American and Israeli radio programs and conducts practical workshops in fiction audio production using the method he developed, Modular Perspective Audio.
