Lucy Taylor, known professionally as Pawws, is an English electropop singer-songwriter.[1][2][3][4] She is best known for being the backing vocalist and co-writing Dua Lipa's "Be the One" (2015) under her real name. She was also a touring backing vocalist for Kele Okereke (of indie rock band Bloc Party) and the States' MGMT under her name.
Taylor is described by the Guardian as the "new Lynsey de Paul" and "a solo electronic pop singer with a cute, high voice who might not have been given the pop green light had Aluna of AlunaGeorge not afforded hope to squeakily affecting female singers everywhere." She released her song "Hear You Calling" (wrong "Hear You Calling" linked to article, that article is about the 2000 song by English duo Aurora, not the Norwegian singer Aurora) in 2023.[5] She released her EP Sugar in 2014.[6] She released her song "Time to Say Goodbye/Slow Love" in 2013 as her debut single.[7]
