His research primarily investigates hotspot detection and mitigation, photovoltaic reliability, thermal modelling, and intelligent monitoring techniques for solar PV systems operating under partial shading conditions.
Early life and education
Pramod Kumar was born on 11 October 1996 in Hatisa village, Hathras district, Uttar Pradesh, India.
He completed a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh, in 2016.[2] He received a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University in 2020.[3] He obtained a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Gautam Buddha University in 2022.[4] He completed his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering at GLA University, Mathura, in 2026.[5]
Career
From October 2022 to October 2025, Kumar worked as a Research Assistant at GLA University under a research project funded by the Council of Science and Technology, Uttar Pradesh (UPCST).[6] His research focused on the development of artificial intelligence-based techniques for hotspot detection and mitigation in solar photovoltaic modules.
His research combines experimental validation with machine learning approaches to improve the reliability, efficiency, and thermal performance of photovoltaic systems operating under varying environmental conditions.
