Pranathi G is an Indian Wushu athlete from Mysuru, Karnataka. 6th Standard Student from Police Public School Mysore, Karnataka. Being So Young she has Proved that when there is a will, there is a way. Her Commitment and Dedication led her to outstanding success. Her continuous effort has made her a successful and iconic personality. She won 6+ Championships in WUSHU Martial Art Games National, State and District competitions. She won many awards for her Outstanding Performances in WUSHU Martial Arts.

                             Her Parents  wish to see her make the Nation Proud  by winning an Olympic Medal and IAS or IPS Officer as well as a social worker. She is a Source of Inspiration for many such girls who dream to become successful players. In the age of 12 years She also got special recognition and felicitation by Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports. 
                             She is the Youngest  Medalist in State, National & International WUSHU Championship . She is a record holder in the Limca book of Records (LBR),  India’s World Record (IWR) and India Book of Records (IBR). She has won Many Awards. She has represented Karnataka 4 times at various National level championships and Won Medals and Laurels to City and State. 
                               She is very hardworking, determined and caring. She is an extrovert. She takes care of her friends and family. Motivates her teammates and is always ready to accept challenges. She is down to earth and a loving Kid. She is very interested in social activities.
                               All the glories she has achieved and the position where she stands now is not by luck, it is a result of countless days of hard work and dedication. She works every day to be a better version of herself. Her parents always make sure that she does not face any pressure from the expectations of society and get distracted. They guide her to choose the best for her and support her in everything she chooses. They advise other parents to let their children explore and motivate them to pursue whatever interests they have.

01) Gold Medal for India at the Batumi Open International Wushu Tournament. 02) Current Sub-Junior State Champion in Wushu, with a 2 hat-trick of State Golds (6 Golds & 1 Silver overall). 03) Multiple National medals – 3 Bronze, 1 Silver, and a history-making Gold.

                                    === Early and Personal Life ===

Pranathi was born on 17 November 2014 in Mysuru to Sangeetha. L and Giridhar SD in a Kuruba Gowda family. When She was 4 years her parents recognized her Potential & Joined her to Wushu academy in Chamundi Vihaar Indoor Stadium, Mysuru. At the age of six she was selected for Karnataka State Wushu Championships after winning in district matches in 2020 At the age of seven she was picked for the Karnataka team in below 20 kg sub junior category for playing National championships.

Pranathi’s family is closely imvolved in her martial arts activities. Her Father Giridhar, a photographer, takes care of her wushu programme, her mother Sangeetha is in charge of her diet , clothing and other organizational aspects and help her in practice.

She is very hardworking, determined and caring. She is an extrovert. She takes care of her friends and family. Motivates her teammates and is always ready to accept challenges. She is down to earth and a loving Kid.

She is Very Interested in social activities, she worked as a Resource Person at (AIISH) All India Speech and hearing Mysore in 2022 & 2023 and trained the children with special needs and caregivers for WUSHU. That’s another feather to her cap.

                                                ===  Playing Style  ===

Pranathi is a very stylish player in Wushu (Sanda) Category & Well known as a fighter through her Speed, Superb footwork, and tremendous Courage, and she also known for setting up good attacks to the opponent and she is also a good defensive Player too, she is very fast on her feet and She is good at front kick and Counter attacks.

                               === Recognition by the Wushu Association of India ===

On 30 April 2026, the ‘’‘Wushu Association of India’’’ issued an official letter concerning Pranathi’s international achievement. Wushu Association of India recognised her as the ‘’’“youngest Indian to win an international wushu title”’’’ following her gold-medal performance at the 2025 Batumi Open International Wushu Tournament in Batumi, Georgia. It states that she achieved the title at the age of ‘’‘10 years, 8 months and 15 days’’’.
