Rada Rae (born 2014) is an Austrian-Filipino child actress.

Early life

Rada Rae was born in Tuguegarao City, Philippines. She is multilingual and speaks English, German and Tagalog fluently.[1]

At age seven, she moved to Vienna, Austria, where she began her acting career.[1]

In addition to acting, she is trained in ballet, folk dance, and jazz dance. As a member of the girls' choir, she received her vocal training at the Wiener Sängerknaben's renowned music primary school. She also trained in musical theatre through the Showtime programme at the Vienna's English Theatre.[1]

Career

Rada Rae began her screen career starring in the lead of several award-winning short films directed by students at the Filmakademie Wien, which were quickly followed by international productions. The short film Ever After, directed by Helen Hideko, was nominated for the Austrian Film Award,Österreichischer Filmpreis 2026.[2]

In 2024, she was cast in the Netflix action thriller Exterritorial, playing the role of Aileen Kynch. That same year, she also joined the cast of the Hulu drama series Nine Perfect Strangers for its second season, which premiered in May 2025.

In 2025, she joined the cast of the Prime Video biblical drama series House of David as Avva, a recurring role.

In 2026, it was confirmed that she was cast as Wellie in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, her first major theatrical film.[3] At 11 years old during filming, she became the youngest confirmed tributes in the franchise.

In 2022 she began her career in several short films directed by students at the Vienna Film Academy, before moving into Hollywood productions with early roles including the Amazon Prime series Nine Perfect Strangers (TV Series) (2025) alongside Nicole Kidman and Murray Bartlett, as well as the Netflix film Exterritorial (2025) as Dougray Scott's daughter Ayleen. In 2024 she booked the lead role Lou in the German Das kleine Fernsehspiel production Paradeisa.

Rae gained further recognition with her role as Avva in the Amazon Prime series House of David (TV series) (2024–2026) which marked her first recurring role.

In 2025 she was cast as Wellie, a tribute from District 6, in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, marking a breakthrough in her career.

She was raised trilingual and speaks English, German and Tagalog.
