Rajaura is a village in Begusarai Block of Begusarai district, Bihar, India.[2] The village code is 238096.[2]
Demographics
As per the 2011 Census of India, Rajaura has a total population of 5,443 people residing in 1,022 households.[2] Out of this, 2,865 are males and 2,578 are females.[2]
The population of children aged 0-6 years is 942.[2] The Average Sex Ratio is 900.[2] The Child Sex Ratio is 899.[2]
Rajaura has a literacy rate of 59.16%.[2] Male literacy stands at 64.12% while female literacy is at 53.66%.[2]
Scheduled Castes constitute 881 persons, which is 16.18% of the population.[2] There are no Scheduled Tribes in the village.[2]
Geography
The total geographical area of Rajaura is 80 hectares or 0.8 km².[1] It is located approximately 15 km from Begusarai, the district headquarters.
Administration
As per the Panchayati Raj Act, Rajaura village is administrated by a Sarpanch who is the elected representative of the village.[2] Rajaura is a designated Gram Panchayat.[4]
Economy
Out of the total population, 1,779 persons were engaged in work activities.[2] Of these, 1,427 workers describe their work as Main Work and 352 were involved in Marginal activity.[2]
Education and Religion
The village has education and religious facilities.[citation needed] Notable places include local temples and schools which serve the village population.[citation needed]
