Redline Rocketry (also known as Redline) is browser-based data acquisition software designed for monitoring static-fire tests of rocket motors and engines. The software operates offline in Chromium-based web browsers using the Web Serial API to communicate with ESP32-based hardware.

The software provides live telemetry display, configurable channel thresholds, event logging, CSV import and replay, and automated generation of post-test reports. It is intended for educational, student, and amateur rocketry applications.

History

Redline Rocketry was first released in 2026. The software was developed as a browser-based alternative to traditional desktop ground-station software, allowing operation without installation while supporting USB serial communication through the Web Serial API.

Functionality

Redline receives telemetry from an ESP32 microcontroller over a USB serial connection. During testing, sensor values are displayed in real time and may be monitored using configurable channel thresholds that produce audible alerts when exceeded.

Following a test, the software can generate a report summarizing recorded telemetry, including calculated burn time, total impulse, motor classification, and summary statistics for recorded channels. Previously recorded data can also be imported from CSV files and replayed using the original timestamps.
