Simon Costello is an Irish poet.[1] He is from County Offaly.[1]
In 2021, his poem 'They say you sleep 1/3 of your life in the dark with animals' won the Rialto Nature Poetry and Place Competition.[2]
Costello won the Southword Editor's Poetry Award in 2023[3]
In 2024, his collection, Antichrist, won the Patrick Kavanagh Poetry Award.[4] Awarding Judge Victoria Kennefick called Antichrist 'unflinching, original, hallucinatory, and dramatic.'[4]
