Solar Transport Systems Inc (STS) is an American automotive company headquartered in Palm Bay, Florida. Founded in 2014 by Julian Field, the company develops and manufactures the INTI Solar Neighborhood Car, a two-seater solar electric vehicle.[1][3]
History
Solar Transport Systems was founded in 2014 by Julian Field. As a Florida Institute of Technology alumnus, he later relocated the company to the university's Vertex Applied Innovation Hub in Palm Bay, Florida.[2] The company's initial development of a solar-powered vehicle began in the United Kingdom.[1]
In May 2025, Solar Transport Systems publicly unveiled its pre-production vehicle, the INTI, at a VIP event at the Vertex Applied Innovation Hub.[4] The vehicle is classified as a Low-Speed Vehicle (LSV) and is designed for urban and local transportation, with a top speed of 25 mph.[2] The company plans to begin production in
Bradenton, Florida, with a target date of January 2026 for the first deliveries.[2]
