Draft:Teemak

  • Comment: User keeps repeatedly resubmitting draft about a non-notable musician. Rejection shall do. RedShellMomentum 02:36, 21 February 2026 (UTC)
  • Comment: I think we are very close to the end of the road in this form. This appears to major on signing Enzo Ishall who does not yet appear to pass WP:BIO and WP:NOTINHERITED applies anyway, on failed business ventures, and on something allegedly shady with his business partner.
Thank you for removing the AI slop from the draft, but I have no clue how the subject is notable for anything except and since Heaven & Hell.
I suggest this be stripped back to a very brief draft including only that item, after which to seems to able to pass WP:NMUSICIAN.
However see https://www.zimsphere.co.zw/2026/01/introducing-hot-100-zimbabwe-countrys-first-national-music-chart.html whcih suggests that the Zambezi Magic Zim Top 10 chart may not be relevant. 🇵🇸‍🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦‍🇵🇸 13:49, 2 February 2026 (UTC)

Taona Oswald Chipunza (born 12 December 1996), known professionally as Teemak, is a Zimbabwean recording artist and music producer. His stage name combines "Tee" from his first name with "Mak" from Makanyara, his late mother's name.[1]

Career

Chipunza released his debut single "Heaven & Hell" in November 2015.[2] The song reached number one on the Zambezi Magic Zim Top 10 chart, setting a record for the longest run at the top position.[3][4][5]

In 2017, he released "24", a collaboration with Zimbabwean artist Roki.[6]

In 2020, he released the single "Songs of Love".[7]

In April 2025, Chipunza released Mavambo, a six-track extended play under his label Lord Empire Music.[8] In December 2025, he released "Disemba", a self-produced single featuring Nigerian guitarist Promise the Guitarist, blending amapiano rhythms with sungura-inspired guitar.[1]

Musical style

Teemak's music blends Afrobeats, amapiano, and sungura guitar. His earlier work leaned towards Afrobeats, while Mavambo marked a shift towards incorporating amapiano production with traditional sungura guitar elements.[8][1] On "Disemba", he paired amapiano rhythms with sungura-inspired guitar performed by Nigerian guitarist Promise the Guitarist.[1]
