Tim Nathan is an Australian filmmaker, writer and director. His work has screened at international film festivals including SXSW London and the London Short Film Festival, and has been featured in publications including Directors Notes, British Cinematographer, FilmInk and Paradiso.
Career
Nathan is an Australian filmmaker whose work explores themes of human connection, existential drift and dark humour.
His short film Thoughts & Prayers premiered at SXSW London in 2025. In 2026, the film was the subject of a feature article in Directors Notes, which discussed Nathan's filmmaking approach, influences and the development of the film following its festival run.[1]
The film and its online premiere were also covered by FilmInk.[2]
Nathan's work has additionally been featured in British Cinematographer, which profiled the creative collaboration behind Thoughts & Prayers,[3] and in Paradiso.[4]
In addition to narrative filmmaking, Nathan has directed music videos for artists including Rag'n'Bone Man, Royel Otis and Sticky Fingers.[5]
