Draft:Tuapo Volcano

What Is the Volcano?

The Tuapō volcano is a caldera volcano that collapsed to make a lake on the top of it. It's also considered a supervolcano.

The Eruptions

The volcano has erupted about 29 times in the last 26,000 years. The latest eruption was in the last 5,000 years. The most powerful eruption had a VEI of 8. (super eruption.)

What would Happen If it Erupted Now?

First, ash will fill the air, and if you breath it, you will suffocate and die. If you survive the ash air contamination, the ash will cover the sun, making a temperature drop to at least 10°F colder, and it could last as long as 10 years! And that's not even counting the lava in the volcano! The volcano pours a staggering amount of 30–120 km³ of lava!

The Summary

The Tuapō volcano is a supervolcano that is on top of a lake which is the most-active supervolcano.
