UltraViewer is a remote desktop application distributed by DucFabulous Co Ltd. The proprietary software provides remote access to Windows systems and supports both windows server and client systems, including XP to Windows 11. It has features such as remote control, file transfer and chat.

Company

DucFabulous CO LTD was founded in 2015 in Hanoi Vietnam, with company offices in Singapore and Serbia.

Features

The features available to the user can depend on the license (free or paid). Features include:

  • File transfer
  • Text chat
  • Voice chat
  • Unattended access
  • Allow turn on computer remotely
  • Record video (paid feature)

Abuse and security

Like other remote desktop applications, UltraViewer has been widely misused by threat actors conducting technical support scams.[1] In these schemes, scammers utilize deceptive browser pop-ups or cold calls impersonating large technology firms to convince users to install the software. Once remote access is established, perpetrators manipulate the target system to steal credentials, download malware, or access banking details.[2] The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) named UltraViewer among the utility programs favored by global fraud operations due to its ease of deployment.[3]

Attackers have made websites that appear to offer free downloads of UltraViewer and other business software, but actually provide malware.[4][5]
