We Create Tech is a nonprofit organization based in Atlanta, Georgia, that offers STEAM education programs for students across the United States and internationally. Founded in 2022 by Shana "Digital" Sanders, the organization serves more than 1,100 students across 15 U.S. states and five countries.[1]
== Programs == We Create Tech operates several programs designed to expand access to technology education for underrepresented youth:
CreativX Lab is a weekly hands-on program in which students participate in instructor-led sessions covering coding, digital design, music production, and multimedia production. The program is hosted at the Best Buy Teen Tech Center at the Fulton County Library System in Atlanta.[2]
TechRise is an international mentorship and certification program through which participants can earn Google Career Certificates and CompTIA industry certifications, supported by an online learning management system and college chapters.[3]
Dance Code Create is a summer program developed in partnership with the Georgia Institute of Technology's Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics and Computing (CEISMC) that integrates physical activity, coding, and music production.[4]
NextGen Tech Collective offers free monthly virtual workshops on coding, music production, and career development to students and community members.
CreativeTech is a self-paced online program through which students earn Google Career Certificates and CompTIA certifications with no prior experience required.
== Recognition == We Create Tech received the 2025 Women in Technology (WIT) Georgia Award in recognition of its contributions to STEAM education.[5] The organization was designated a 2025 Best Buy Foundation partner, supporting the Best Buy Teen Tech Center network's mission of providing technology education to teens from underserved communities.[6] The organization was also profiled by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution in November 2025.[7]
