Zootopia 3 (titled Zootropolis 3 among other names in some markets)[b] is an upcoming American animated buddy cop comedy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and a sequel to Zootopia 2 (2025).

The film will be released in the United States by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

In the end of Zootopia 2 (2025), there is a scene that teases a potential sequel to the film.[1] Talks of a third Zootopia film began before Zootopia 2 released in theaters, with both directors and actors openly discussing different possibilities. With Zootopia 2 making $1 billion in record time, as well as the post-credits scene hinting at a story focused on birds, it was believed that a sequel was to be approved very soon. On December 21, 2025, directors Byron Howard and Jared Bush confirmed that Bush had already begun making early sketches for a third film.[2] In August 2026, at the 2026 D23 Expo, it was confirmed to be in development, with Ginnifer Goodwin and Ke Huy Quan reprising their roles.[3][4]
