Drew Nieporent

Drew Nieporent is an American restaurateur based in New York City. He is the owner of Myriad Restaurant Group. His restaurants include Nobu and Nobu London, which have earned two Michelin stars.

Career

Nieporent's first restaurant, Montrachet, opened in 1985 and earned three stars from The New York Times, maintaining that rating for 19 years.[1] In 2008, it reopened as Corton, with chef-partner Paul Liebrandt. Corton also received three stars from The New York Times and two Michelin stars.[2]

In 1994, Nieporent opened Nobu with Robert De Niro and Nobu Matsuhisa. Nobu NYC,[3] Next Door Nobu,[4] and Nobu Fifty Seven[5] each earned three stars from The New York Times. Nobu NYC was awarded Best New Restaurant by The James Beard Foundation.[6] Nobu now has locations internationally.[7]

In 2002, Tribeca Grill joined Rubicon and Montrachet in receiving the Wine Spectator Grand Award.[8] In 2005, Myriad opened Crush Wine & Spirits.

Bâtard, which opened in 2014,[9] won the 2014 James Beard Foundation Award for Best New Restaurant.[10] It closed in 2023.
