Willard was born in Lancaster, Massachusetts ,[ 1] [ 3] on September 25, 1862,[ 1] to Edman[ 3] and Elizabeth E. Willard.[ 3]
Family life
Willard married Lissis Doan Nickerson[ 3] of Chatham, Massachusetts ,[ 3] in that town in December 1895.[ 3]
