Machine translation, like DeepL or Google Translate, is a useful starting point for translations, but translators must revise errors as necessary and confirm that the translation is accurate, rather than simply copy-pasting machine-translated text into the English Wikipedia.
Do not translate text that appears unreliable or low-quality. If possible, verify the text with references provided in the foreign-language article.

Before her election to the European Parliament, Langensiepen had been serving as a member of the City Council of Hannover.[1] Langensiepen has called for reforms to the system of sheltered workshops in Europe, which offer vocational training to people with disabilities. According to Langensiepen "in Germany, we are talking about 300,000 people working in the sheltered workshops for one euro average per hour".[2]
In addition to her committee assignments, Langensiepen is a member of the European Parliament Intergroup on Children's Rights,[6] the European Parliament Intergroup on Disability[7] and the European Parliament Intergroup on Cancer.[8] She is one of the few visibly disabled members of the European Parliament.[9]
