KitschKrieg is a German music production group from Berlin and was formed in 2015 by Christoph Erkes (Fizzle), Christian Yun-Song Meyerholz (Fiji Kris), and Nicole Schettler (°awhodat°).[1] They are best known for the single "Gut Genug" in collaboration with Blumengarten and Shirin David, the first German-language record to enter the U.S. Billboard chart in the 21st century.[2]
History
The trio was founded in 2015. The members first met in Berlin at the end of 2014.[3] They achieved a breakthrough with "Knöcheltief" by Trettmann and Gzuz.[4] Their second single "Standard" reached the top of the German singles charts, earning a platinum record in Germany and gold status in Austria.
On August 7, 2020, their debut album KitschKrieg was released.[5] KitschKrieg reached number one on the German singles chart for the second time, while the album itself debuted at number three on the German album chart.
They released their second album, KitschKrieg Zwei on May 22, 2026.[6]
