Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila
Lakshmipur or Laxmipur Sadar (Bengali: লক্ষ্মীপুর সদর) is an upazila of Lakshmipur District in Chittagong Division, Bangladesh. GeographyLakshmipur Sadar is located at 22°57′00″N 90°49′30″E / 22.9500°N 90.8250°E. It has a total area of 514.78 km2. Most of the land in Lakshmipur district is river bed or isles sedimented from the river or the Bay of Bengal, the names of different areas of the district are named adding suffixes like ‘Chor’, ‘Dee’, ‘Di’, ‘Dia’- meaning river bed.[4] Demographics
According to the 2011 Census of Bangladesh, Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila had 144,228 households and a population of 684,425. 172,979 (25.27%) were under 10 years of age.
