Melissa Duncan (born 30 January 1990) is an Australian middle-distance runner who competes primarily in the 1500 metres and 5000 metres.^[1]

At an International level she competed at the 2015 and 2019 World Championships in Athletics, the 2016 World Indoor Championships, 2014 Commonwealth Games and 2024 World Athletics Cross Country Championships and was the Gold Medallist at the 2019 Oceania Athletics Championships in the 5000m.^[2]

She was selected for the 2016 Olympic Games however had to withdraw due to injury.^[3]

After returning from injury, Duncan joined Nic Bideau's Melbourne Track Club and on his recommendation Duncan moved to Japan in 2019 to join the corporate Shiseido Running Club where she competed two seasons.^[4] Duncan in February 2024 said that her experience in Japan impacted her running career for the next three years and seriously affected her health.^[5]
