Miss USA World 1962 was the first Miss USA World pageant, held at the Huntington Field House in Huntington, West Virginia, United States, on September 22, 1962.
Jo Ann Odum of West Virginia crowned Amedee Chabot of California as her successor at the end of the event. Chabot went on to represent the United States at the Miss World 1962 Pageant in London later that year. She finished in the Top 8 at Miss World.[1]
Hawaii - Julie Jones was named as Miss Hawaii World 1962 and had competed at the pageant; however withdrew during finals due to back pains after the evening gown competition.
