Nister-Möhrendorf
Nister-Möhrendorf is an Ortsgemeinde – a community belonging to a Verbandsgemeinde – in the Westerwaldkreis in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. GeographyThe community lies in the Westerwald between Limburg and Siegen. Through the community flows the Große Nister. Nister-Möhrendorf belongs to the Verbandsgemeinde of Rennerod, a kind of collective municipality. Its seat is in the like-named town. HistoryBoth villages Nister and Möhrendorf had their first documentary mention in 1300. They were united in 1829. At the latest since 1733, a mill had been in operation. Between 1820 and 1861, even two mills are listed in Nassau government records. The last miller ceased his work in 1959.
