Phillip Andrew BurtonOAM (born 13 March 1974) is an Australian musician best known as a member of the Australian pop vocal band Human Nature with Toby Allen, Andrew Tierney and his brother Michael Tierney since 1989.
In May 2023, it was announced that Burton would be participating in the twentieth series of Dancing with the Stars.[6] He was paired with Ash-Leigh Hunter. Announced on the 23 July, Phil and Ashley won the mirror ball trophy for their freestyle dance. Awarded 39 points out of the possible 40, the pair came equal first however won the audience vote, crowing them the winner of Dancing with the Stars Australia 2023.[7][8]
Burton married Justine Smith, who had worked in marketing and communications for a financial company.[10] The couple lived in Belrose, New South Wales, before moving to Las Vegas in 2009.[10] As of October 2016, they have two children under the names of Ash Burton (2008) and Xavier Burton (2014). Phil Burton and his family moved back to Sydney, Australia in October 2020, and they currently reside in the Northern Beaches area.[5][10]
