Smilis (Ancient Greek: Σμῖλις), was a legendary ancient Greek sculptor, the contemporary of Daedalus, whose name[1] was associated with the archaic cult figure [fr] at the Heraion of Samos.[2] Smilis was born on the island of Aegina[3] and his father was named Euclides.[4] He was the legendary head of the Aeginetan School of sculpture.[4]
