Talk:ASEAN Common Time

If already in use, then what does it mean?

Some businesses with a local or regional reach, already adopted the use of the "ASEAN Common Time", and can be seen abbreviated as '"ACT"' in their Press Releases, communications, and legal documents. Then what do they mean by it, UTC+7 or UTC+8? -- Jao (talk) 15:08, 14 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

It means these companies, groups, individuals, etc. (listed and unlisted) are now using "ACT" which means UTC+0800. So, if for example a VietNam company uses "ACT" then it means "UTC+0800" not "UTC+0700". This is a slow adoption because no government has mandated its use yet. So it is on a per group/individual basis. --- Laibcoms (talk | Contribs) 14:48, 24 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
