This article is a bit of a mess - the Fighting Fantasy game and AFF are two related games, not two versions or editions of the same game. Lets see what we can copyedit CapnZapp (talk) 23:27, 17 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

The article still conflates two games into one article. All the rules stuff describe AFF. FF the intro game (the one with the werecat cover) does NOT have all those rules. It is a complete ruleset in itself, but hews MUCH closer to the gamebook system. No advanced magic. No die rolls for damage. Even if FF-tIG is labeled as belonging to the AFF series it deserves its own page.

Also, Out of the Pit and Titan does not use or even reference ANY of either rulesystems! They appear as completely stand-alone and self-sufficient companion pieces to the gamebooks themselves. Furthermore, this article spends some time on d20 conversions of classic FF adventures. But nothing suggests these have anything to do with AFF! (AFF and d20 are both rpgs, yes, but the d20 conversions are of FF gamebooks that doesn't even have AFF counterparts!) ...have nothing in common that suggests they should be handled by a single page. And Out of the Pit (1st edition) only references the Attacks statistic from the intro game - nothing ties it to AFF. The Arion Games edition is another matter entirely. And finally: Titan is a systemless world book that in no way is more closely related to either rpg than the gamebooks or the general FF article.

Since no other editor seems willing to fix this, let me as a first step remove everything I believe is unrelated to AFF from this page. (The info remains accessible for future publication at other, as of yet uncreated, pages via page history). Thanks CapnZapp (talk) 23:02, 3 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

The article previously featured the cover of Titan, possibly because its the only AFF-branded cover uploaded to Wiki. I suggest we either use Dungeoneer (because it was the first book detailing the original AFF system) or Advanced Fighting Fantasy (the core rulebook for Arion's 2nd edition) as our cover picture, assuming someone is kind enough to upload either of those two covers.
