APM supports other things
This is JUST WRONG. APM supports other things like battery power level interrogation and standby/suspend states. In fact, I'm not sure it has anything to do with displays at all - isn't that solely the province of DPMS?
I agreed with you, so I removed all mention of displays and instead included a hyperlink to the entry on power management, which in turn links to DPMS. I think the APM entry should be expanded to include examples of things that the OS can ask the firmware for (e.g. suspend) and things that the firmware can tell the OS about (e.g. loss of mains power or a battery that's running low). - ASB.
FOLDOC
Sorry if this is a beginner question, but I'm still quite new to Wikipedia - is the reference to FOLDOC still required now that no of the content is from FOLDOC? Gechurch (talk) 10:40, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
This should not have been moved to the lower case name
The document cited as the reason for the move is inconsistent in its use of case. As mentioned in the citation, all things which are a title (such as chapter names, diagram titles, etc. and references to same) are capitalized as demanded for those contexts. There are two other mentions in the text, one is capitalized (as I think it should be becuase it is a proper noun) and the other is all lower case, making any claim that it should be lower cased inconclusive. The trouble is, I don't know how one would go about moving it back and make this redirect go away. -- Joe (talk) 14:12, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
