Talk:Anim8or

I removed this section for now. All the images need to be hosted on Wikipedia, but more importantly, we don't have the rights to use them here. You could try contact the artist and ask them to release them on here, though. Aero 04:43, 30 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Raytracer

Does and one have a source saying steve plans to add a raytracer? I haven't heard any thing about that and sinc it's a surface modeler I doubt he has any plans to add a raytracer. -Glorfon

If I remember correctly Steve planned to include a rudimentary raytracer in 0.95 but had to push it back because it wasn't ready at release time. —Scott5114 23:20, 3 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Misconcepting Picture example

The picture displaying a rendered "Nintendo" remote control actually has the layout of a Playstation 1 remote. Not only is it slightly humorous, but it's grossly misrepresenting. Opt for a newly rendered example. BH 7-9-07

Actually, technically, that game controller is only similar to the PS1 remote. If you compare it to actual PS1 remotes, you will see there are some shape differences, minor button inconsistencies, etc. The remote in the image essentially does not exist. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:8:BA00:7EC:41E7:25D5:D305:87C3 (talk) 13:51, 5 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Reads like advertisement?

Why would you rewrite an entire article just because it's about a good program? Are we supposed to present a couple good things about it, then spend the rest of the article bashing it? No. There has hardly been any criticism against it. Hardly any for it. Why? It's pretty much unknown compared to giants like 3DS Max, Maya, and Blender, among other modlelers. Anyway, back to that template glued over the whole page. There are very few bad things about Anim8or, thus you can't write something about it without using mostly positive points. It's not that you're supposed to critisize it. The point is that instead of saying, for example, "this is cost-effective", you have to say "This costs ____, which is far lower than the next price of ____". I know that's not a very good example, there are better ones at one of the Wikipedia pages, I forget the name. But the point is, you have to explain why something is something instead of just saying it is something.
