Bootloader unlock promises undelivered
I added some lines about the bootloader unlock promises that Asus did not deliver. But, were reverted with a vage comment. Could someone provide a valid explanation? I will revert otherwise 90.167.203.218 (talk) 20:44, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
- Well, your edit was non-neutral. I'm additionally uncertain that what you added was cited to a reliable source, and I suspect you exaggerated the extent of what the source says. DonIago (talk) 20:54, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
- There are more sources. I will also include those and reword it. If you do not like it please reword it instead of blanking. 90.167.203.195 (talk) 06:51, 8 June 2024 (UTC)
Classification of the G1/G2 series laptops under rog
Hi, I was wondering whether the G1 and G2 series of laptops would be listed under the rog laptops. As they were released and featured on the rog section of the asus website + listed with the creation of the ROG brand in ASUS'S timeline on their current website (however they are not listed together and as seperate points of the 2005 to 2008 timeline.) But I have seen them listed on wikepidia under a different section (although that was for the PC'S not laptops/notebooks, which I have not researched properly yet.) Contradictory template fix
I am not the person who placed this template, but from looking at both articles, the problem appears to be with the Live series. This article places the series as being from the fifth generation, while the ZenPhone article places it in the third generation. This source places the release date of the series in March 2017, which puts it closer to the third generation (especially since the AR was announced two months earlier and the 4th generation was announced in August). Based on that I have moved the series to the third generation though another source explicitly associating the series with the generation would be helpful. BlaqWiedow (talk) 17:57, 1 May 2026 (UTC)
COI edit request: addition to Republic of Gamers section
| The user below has a request that an edit be made to Asus. That user has an actual or apparent conflict of interest. The requested edits backlog is very high. Please be extremely patient. There are currently 671 requests waiting for review. Please read the instructions for the parameters used by this template for accepting and declining them, and review the request below and make the edit if it is well sourced, neutral, and follows other Wikipedia guidelines and policies. |
I work for ASUS and am disclosing a conflict of interest per WP:COI. I am not editing the article directly and am instead proposing the following addition for review by a neutral editor. The Republic of Gamers section currently does not mention ROG's gaming mouse products. I'd like to propose adding two sentences after the existing ROG Ally paragraph, before The Ultimate Force section:
"In 2023, ROG partnered with Aim Lab, a popular aim-training software platform, to release the Harpe Ace Aim Lab Edition, a lightweight wireless gaming mouse whose settings could be automatically tuned using Aim Lab's training software.[1][2] The following year, ROG released the Harpe Ace Extreme, a carbon fiber variant of the mouse weighing around 47 grams.[3]"
Both claims are sourced to independent third-party hardware publications. Happy to adjust wording or sourcing if needed.
