Based on my firsthand experience with Bix.Yahoo.com, this Article could use a better summary of available categories and formats. As of 1 November 2008, the available categories[1] for Contests are: A cappella, Art, Beauty, Comedy, Dance, Karaoke, Lip-Sync, Photography, and Other. Available Formats are Audio, Video and Photo. Recommend a Wikitable to spell out format options available for each category, as not all theoretical combinations of Categories and Formats are used. Additionally, as of 1 November 2008, the A capella category is restricted to an Adobe Flash-based recorder that Yahoo! inherited upon purchasing Bix.com; Yahoo! has since developed two Microsoft ActiveX-based Recorders for most of the other categories. — B. (Fixed Category list 05:04, 14 December 2008 (UTC). BCS)

Update: As of 10 December 2008, the list of categories is reduced to A capella, Art, Beauty, Comedy, Photography and Other. According to the notice on the Index page retrievable 10 to 14 December 2008, the Dance, Karaoke and Lip-sync experiences are closed, with deletion of applicable Entries to commence 15 December 2008. 1. ^ Per definition at Bix.Yahoo.com and unrelated to Wikipedia:Categorization.
Update 2: Bix.com closed 30 June 2009, but I am having difficulty finding the appropriate Web Pages to cite for verification. Any help available for the search? - B. C. Schmerker (talk) 18:59, 26 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
