Reversing merge proposal. The page for the Border 2 Fire is too important for context of fire history of region, likely to be of historical interest
The existence of this article is justified by the importance of establishing this fire's relevance to the long fire history of the large Chaparral biome east of Chula Vista/south of Alpine, such as the Laguna Fire, the Otay Fires, and the Harris Fire, which would be too lengthy and too far out of context if explained in the umbrella article. The amount of relevant info is too lengthy to simply merge into a single paragraph on the Jan2025 SoCal fires page. It is likely to have historical value for the region. The Hughes Fire Article shall also be restated for consistency, though shortening of less historically relevant context should be shortened 209.242.141.142 (talk) 17:00, 29 August 2025 (UTC)
- I get how you don't want this page to be merged, I've felt that way on some other pages. But there was a discussion on March 15 with a clear consensus to merge. If you want, you could create and develop a draft using the Article wizard and submit your draft to be reviewed once you finish. I suggest finding some sources from outside of Southern California, such as Bay Area or out-of-state news outlets.
