Since someone decided all the article's images must be in one side only, this article has become AWFUL. No single image stays within the topic it illustrates. ETQueEsteveEmVarginha (talk) 00:11, 21 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
we have a lot of extra images I'll go through them see which ones are most relevant there's always been an image spam problem here. Moxy🍁00:23, 21 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
MOS:IMAGELOC presumably is what motivated putting all the images on the right side. I agree that this article has an "image spam" problem, but addressing that problem involves deciding which images to keep and which to discard. Bruce leverett (talk) 12:28, 21 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
The HDI recently updated in this article (0.805, 66th) is incorrect and based on a confusion between two different indices. The source cited (UOL) and the UNDP Brazil panel linked refer to the MHDI (Municipal Human Development Index), a methodology adapted by UNDP Brazil for subnational analysis. This index does not produce international rankings and is not comparable across countries. The correct global HDI, as published in the official Human Development Report 2025 by UNDP, uses 2023 reference data and places Brazil at: * HDI: 0.786 * Rank: 84th out of 193 countries * Category: High human development (below the 0.800 threshold for "very high") ~2026-34611-85 (talk) 15:08, 11 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

I didn't see any talk about the globe/map in the article summary showing the location and extent of Brazil. That map suggests that Brazil is landlocked, because it shows the 200 mile marine economic zone in the same colours as other land, and it does NOT show that zone around other countries. Anyone who does not already know that that zone along Brazil's Atlantic coast is ocean could easily be misled. Who created those maps? Is there a template? I will check to see if this same mapping scheme applies to other countries. Robintundrabay (talk) 11:17, 16 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
To be more precise, the marine zone does have a lighter outline, but the fill is the same, and it could easily be mistaken for land. I suggest a dashed outline as is done in many topo maps. Robintundrabay (talk) 11:21, 16 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
