Talk:Clipping path

Clipping Path is the selection outline made with the Pen Tool to extract a unit image from the rest of the pixels.

Can any one tell me which one is popular, Clipping Path or the others?

Answer Every process listed above are done basically by clipping path. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Saiful 9999 (talkcontribs) 08:40, 16 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposal to split CLIPPING PATH and CLIP PLANES While similar in name Clipping Paths (2D) and Clip Planes in 3D are almost entirely different and should probably be split into two completely separate articles.

The Clipping Path Service section of this article is barely relevant and could probably use removal. Tlozinski (talk) 15:00, 26 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

The "Adobe InDesign CS3 Site - Clipping Path" link in section 4 "External Links" points to the page "Archived Help Content". It should be updated to the CS5 page or the link should be removed. Bpg1968 (talk) 19:54, 19 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Question of wording

I just tried making a clipping path from an unclosed path in Photoshop, and it was reflected in Indesign without issue. The clipping assumed the last two points had a straight line in between them delineating clipping area. I vote for removal of "closed" in the first sentence. If I don't hear objections within a few days, I'll make the change when I can. 04redsox07 (talk) 16:24, 3 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
