"Cocktail hats, or fascinators, were especially popular during the 1930's and 40's when they were worn in the evening for cocktail parties, and they are making a comeback as women realize just how stylish and versatile they really are! These little couture hats generally featured a veiling flourish of some kind, were usually brimless, and were worn tipped forward on the head and often slightly over one eye." Difficulty finding good sources
I'm not sure if "cocktail hat" is the most popular term nowadays when writing about this type of hat, as the term showed up many, many digitized examples of cocktail hats, but almost no fashion history or scholarship relating to them ... ideas would be helpful. This lead me to rely more on less academic sources such as personal blogs and HuffPo. Thellomerca (talk) 00:51, 18 June 2019 (UTC)
