I agree that this article has turned in to a bit a fancruft. Code Black is an actual emergency code for bomb threats in some locations, see references on the article page, much beyond the scope of Grey's Anatomy. I am still disappointed with this article. I am a medical student and I had never heard of a "Code Black" until I saw the commercials for ABC's Grey's Anatomy. Upon asking various medical contacts at many corporations, it sounds like "Code Black" is an unknown term in the places I polled (by no means scientific or inclusive). Therefore I have to conclude that this article is still based more on fan fiction than anything else. Because of this, I added that "standardization" section so that people who come asking for what a "Code Black" realize that a majority of hospitals use "Code Yellow" to denote a bomb threat. I vote to abolish the intro to the article to denote it for what it is: fan fiction. I then would like to point people to the correct code definitions. I hate to reply to my own comment but after looking at the into again, the first three sentences have no supporting evidence listed in the links and should be removed. I concur. Other than the PDF linked to in the first revision of this article -- and that is for a regional hospital -- there is no substantiated evidence for this phrase being other than a fiction created by a television show. At this point the article smacks of (self?-)promotion and original invention. Possible outcomes: mark as fanfic, merge/redirect to Grey's Anatomy... -- Metahacker 01:28, 7 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
