Corrections
I feel that whoever wrote this Wikipedia article misunderstood the reference (s)he quotes. It seems to me (not being a programmer) that the article in the reference describes modifying or extending existing code entirely within one program, rather than one program injecting code into another. The referenced article specifically mentions that new code has to be in the same execution space as the original. It seems to be describing a way of updating programs for which the source is not available. Alanthehat (talk) 17:24, 3 August 2013 (UTC)
German translation of the code cave article
So I made this german article of the word code cave some days ago and noticed that there is only an english code cave article available here on Wiki. I am not very familiar, do not have the best writing nor have I an account here so I'd just like to link to my german article, maybe it is useful for some german readers: http://codecaveme.de/blog/codecave-erklaerung-begriff/

- This is unfortunately a WP:BLOG, not a WP:RS. Veverve (talk) 16:53, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
The Cave
I added at the very beginning that the code cave is nothing more than a series of null bytes in a process's memory. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lerietaylor619 (talk • contribs) 06:25, 29 November 2017 (UTC)
This is incorrect.. Unused bytes is more correct. Code caves should also not be entangled with 'scripts'. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:647:4800:1AD0:FDFB:AB52:32F4:C32 (talk) 18:38, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
