Talk:Equation Group

Reader of German needed. I think this article from Der Spiegel shows that the Equation Group's hard drive implant might be the NSA program IRATEMONK

Could someone fluent in German please read the Der Spiegel article at http://www.spiegel.de/netzwelt/web/equation-group-kaspersky-warnt-vor-manipulierter-festplatten-firmware-a-1018852.html and use it? I think that it was stating that the NSA's IRATEMONK Tailored Access Operations program that is listed at https://www.schneier.com/blog/archives/2014/01/iratemonk_nsa_e.html is similar to the Equation Group's hard drive malware. I found an F-Secure blog in English stating that they are one and the same at https://www.f-secure.com/weblog/archives/00002791.html. Jesse Viviano (talk) 02:17, 18 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Big edit

I've just now moved things around a bit for clarity. No change to content, bar trimming unnecessary detail of IRATEMONK. Snori (talk) 09:58, 12 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

I agree with most of your edits, but this one was pretty huge. Not sure if all of that was warrented. The quote now also seems to understate the group's influence. Researchers clearly view it as the most advanced hacking group by far. Bataaf van Oranje (Prinsgezinde) (talk) 12:14, 30 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Issue

Hello,

I have noticed that in the "2016 breach of the Equation Group", there is a grammatical error. The person "Juniper" is never defined. Whoever made that edit should elaborate on that.

Sincerley,
