Term usage
"A term often incorrectly used in the United States to mean White American."
I'm an American and I've never heard anyone refer to themselves or someone else as "European" unless they were directly from Europe. We do not refer to whites as "Europeans", at least it's not nearly as common as the author of the above suggests. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.250.168.229 (talk) 21:19, 4 July 2010 (UTC)

European → European (disambiguation) – Redirect European to European people in accordance with WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, WP:CONSISTENT with previous discussion of redirect of Europeans as seen in Wikipedia:Redirects_for_discussion/Log/2025_October_28#Europeans. ~2026-36544-82 (talk) 09:43, 24 June 2026 (UTC)
- Oppose. Europeans is a clear primary redirect, but European is an adjective and is not. -- Necrothesp (talk) 11:03, 24 June 2026 (UTC)
- Oppose no clear primary topic given the singular commonly means the continent and consistent with the likes of Asian, English, American and French. Crouch, Swale (talk) 20:59, 24 June 2026 (UTC)
- Oppose Per others, the singular has no primary topic while the plural does. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 11:31, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
