Talk:FairLight

Tony Krvaric

Should this guy be mentioned in article? http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Fairlight_%28group%29&diff=536826528&oldid=536824286

Yes, but he is censoring the article himself: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Fairlight_(group)&diff=536825708&oldid=536824286 Make sure to include a reference though: http://rawstory.com/news/2008/San_Diego_GOP_chairman_cofounded_international_0425.html --Ondertitel (talk) 20:25, 29 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Quote from the group notes section in the nfo file of STRIDER-RELOADED released on 2014-02-19 17:32:38 GMT:

We dedicate this release to Strider, the FLT founder who is now a politician with the Republican Party in Freedomland.

Druid 2

Anyone thinks that a note about Enlightenment:Druid 2 should be added here? Fairlight used the main song from that C64 game in many of their cracktros, so much that it became associated with them. The music also became one of the most well known c64 tunes due to this (as Druid 2 was an otherwise weak game).

I fully agree with that. Heck I still have a c64 cartridge with a cracked copy of "Terry's Big Adventure" (lame super mario clone) that used their cracktro with the Enlightenment Druid 2 music. Actually learned to play it on the piano cause I liked it so much.

About their name. I remembering reading on an old Fairlight site that the name came from the Swedish C-64 game of the same name, which was released in 1986.

Anyone know whether Fairlight, the guys cracking PS games today, have anything in common with Fairlight, the C64 demo/cracking team? Is there any continuity at all? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.212.231.238 (talk) 22:23, 10 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yes, it is the same group. Different heads of sections (PC, Amiga C64, Console), but all in the same group. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.227.67.2 (talk) 22:50, 19 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Notch

Probably not notable (yet), but Notch is a real-time computer graphics tool created by Matt Swoboda,[1] a Fairlight member known as "Smash".[2] --2001:1C06:19C9:400:CD2A:5718:3DC7:61A (talk) 20:00, 12 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
