Talk:Fire pump

Move to Fire Pump

I suggest this article be eliminated, and the contents transferrred to the fire pump artlcee. I don't know how to do this. Fireproeng 17:21, 16 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

NO! A Jockey Pump and a Fire Pump serve totally different puropses. It would be misleading and confusing to put them both in the same section. It may be appropriate to add the Jockey Pump article as a paragraph in an article discussing the components of a Fire Sprinkler Control Valve Assembly. If there is one. I havent found it yet. There is a picture of a Fire Sprinkler Control Valve Assembly in the Fire Sprinkler System article, however the Jockey Pump is not visible. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.97.151.10 (talk) 22:26, 9 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

This article could be moved into the fire pump category so that the readers can refer in one page all the details they are looking for.Ashok Kumar Burra 09:45, 23 April 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bvsashok (talkcontribs)

Jockey pumps are also used in water distribution system pump stations, separate from fire applications. 206.211.193.194 (talk) 17:21, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
