The result of the move request was: moved. Consensus that the article subject is not the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC among fictional characters named Flo. The disambiguator "(Progressive Insurance)" was identified as preferable under WP:NCEPISODE. (non-admin closure) ModernDayTrilobite (talkcontribs) 16:33, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Flo (character)Flo (Progressive Insurance) – or Flo (Progressive Insurance character). The current title is ambiguous WP:INCOMPDAB for several other fictional characters, including the title character of Flo (TV series), who was given a series after proving popular in Alice (American TV series), and the title character of Flo & Friends. — BarrelProof (talk) 01:04, 30 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Florence Jean Castleberry is actually a redirect. This is the only article about a character named Flo. 162 etc. (talk) 19:01, 30 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

On Wikipedia (per WP:DAB), disambiguation should consider topics. Not just topics that are the title of an article, but also "a subtopic covered by an article in addition to the article's main topic". The main topic might be something like Alice (American TV series) or Flo (TV series) or Flo & Friends, but as long as the article discusses a character called "Flo", it should be considered for disambiguation. — BarrelProof (talk) 03:07, 1 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
In the meantime I happened to come across also Flo (Cars) as well. List articles or more coherent topic articles are in fact articles about characters, this distinction is meaningless for navigation. If a reader is looking for a character named Flo and we have the description within a larger article, that's a completely valid topic for disambiguation. --Joy (talk) 08:40, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Support per WP:NCTV#Episode and character articles. Gonnym (talk) 04:11, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom. The fact that we don't have an article on the Flo (TV series) character is of no moment when we have an article on the character-centered show (i.e., the article on the show is basically an article on the character). There are numerous other characters named Flo mentioned in various articles in the encyclopedia who are not yet mentioned on the disambiguation page. BD2412 T 17:42, 4 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. No case has been made that this Flo is the primary topic of those listed at Flo#Fictional characters, and it seems most unlikely that this is the case. Andrewa (talk) 06:03, 6 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Jamie

Would Progressive Jamie Jamie (Progressive Insurance) (played by Jim Cashman (actor)) also be good for an article? -- 67.70.25.175 (talk) 21:46, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Jim Cashman (actor) barely looks notable, and I'm not seeing any real secondary source coverage for the Jamie character. See WP:N. 162 etc. (talk) 01:51, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
