The qualifier terrestrial is not needed

In the opening of the article, the phrase "tallest terrestrial animal" is used to describe the giraffe. The word "terrestrial" can be left out as the giraffe is taller than any other living animal. Mothewnovarro (talk) 21:52, 25 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

I thought FA articles aren't a part of this. Snakes29 Please choose a different article. LittleJerry (talk) 00:58, 13 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
Ian (Wiki Ed) haven't we been over this? LittleJerry (talk) 01:03, 13 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
@LittleJerry Yes, an automated email goes to the student. I'll nudge a little more. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 17:34, 16 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

The swimming section probably needs to be rewritten

The section on swimming is highly speculatory and suggests that they have never been seen swimming yet still goes over what they might be like in water, i suggest that it instead be rewritten to say something along the lines of "giraffes have never been observed swimming and likely cannot swim" Smolelephant (talk) 15:15, 20 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

The SEE TAXONOMY link needs attention Andyeff (talk) 09:48, 26 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Drinking

The article "Drinking" states "the drinking method of giraffes has been a source of speculation for its apparent defiance of gravity; the most recent theory contemplates the animal's long neck functions like a plunger pump." Should this be added to the section on feeding? Hiatu (talk) 04:26, 12 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Sure, I fixed a dead link in the citation. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 05:07, 12 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
