Hassocene in 2024?
It says as of 2021 there have been no reports on it. Has that changed at all? UB Blacephalon (talk) 00:29, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
- Seems not, based on a quick Google Scholar search. Double sharp (talk) 14:19, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- A reference with the name "hassocene" has gone missing in this article. Johnjbarton (talk) 14:59, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
- I rescued it from old revisions of the infobox. Double sharp (talk) 15:55, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
- This article should not discuss hassocene unless it (hassocene) is discussed in an off-Wikipedia source which is cited in this article; see Wikipedia:Verifiability. Wikipedia is not a place for original research. Solomonfromfinland (talk) 03:07, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
- It is already cited. The point of this discussion is that while there were sources discussing it as a hypothetical compound, there was not yet any indication that it had been made for real. Double sharp (talk) 06:09, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
- If it's already cited, so be it. I was just making sure that if it is discussed, it is cited. Solomonfromfinland (talk) 16:48, 31 December 2024 (UTC)

Spelling
This article is nominally written in British English with Oxford spelling. In the first paragraph, i thereby changed "hypothesise" to "-ize". As a staunch supporter of English spelling reform (current spelling is unacceptably un-transparent), i am happy to perform such Oxfordizations, as i call them. Of course, my conscience prohibits me from de-Oxfordizing a word ("-ize" → "-ise", for said lexical set), regardless of the English variety in which said article is nominally written. (I know, of course, that Wikipedia articles themselves should use "standard" spelling.) Solomonfromfinland (talk) 03:19, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
