Talk:IOS 6

Infobox Type

Should this article have the OS version infobox instead of the OS infobox it currently has? Alphius (talk) 13:54, 22 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Bugs

Is this bug on topic for iOS 6? Guardian is one of many tech news outlets that have talked about it. --Kushal (talk) 18:03, 17 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Battery life and Wi-Fi issues with iOS 6 not mentioned

Why not? I'm still on 5.1.1 and I know about them - shockingly short battery life and not connecting to Wi-Fi networks is what I have read about. --86.156.190.100 (talk) 23:15, 2 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Well, if you're read about them from a reliable source you can certainly add them. Just stick the source in brackets like <ref>[ source goes here ]</ref>. You can get fancier, but that's like the minimum. Nobody Ent 23:48, 2 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

New version of iOS 6?

I was checking my iPhone 5 for updates today, that they released iOs 6.0.2 today. it's that official? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.255.121.129 (talk) 04:01, 19 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

According to iOS version history (and now this article – I updated it), iOS 6.0.2 was released only for the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini as a WiFi bug fix. The Anonymouse (talk • contribs[Merry Christmas!] 06:09, 19 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Transclusion of table!

Table should to be 'transcluded' into this page from the main iOS version history page – this is VERY important as it helps significantly by stoping double editing and many errors creeping in across both pages continually, and they then don't both have to be checked through continually for inaccuracies.

I don't know how to set this up?? Anyone? Jimthing (talk) 05:55, 20 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Good article status

Hi everybody.

I am considering nominating this article for good article status, but before I do so, I want to ask everyone first if they are noticing anything that should be changed, added, or removed? I appreciate any and all feedback, as I haven't nominated an article before, and although I think the article complies with the six criterias for good articles, I would like someone else than myself to take a look first to see if there is anything particular that should be changed. Thanks. LocalNet (talk) 13:29, 4 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

@LocalNet: I just saw this message. If you're still around and still want to improve this article, feel free to leave some ideas below :) --ABx11 (she/they | formerly TheAuroraBorealis | In solidarity) 00:02, 5 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Improving this article

I am also considering improving this article to GA status, as says the message from 2017. Anyone have any other ideas to improve this article?

  1. Cut down on the detail, we are not a feature listing for every new Apple feature. Especially if this becomes a GA, we need to make the article accessible.
  2. Add missing info. For example, this OS has gained lots of positivity in the last 10 years or so for being the last iOS version with skeuomorphism.

There's a lot more I'm probably missing. --ABx11 (she/they | formerly TheAuroraBorealis | In solidarity) 00:01, 5 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
