Bizarre sentence at the end of the history section of this article

" They also have the biggest and best battery life yet in any iPhone model." sounds like something out of an elementary school essay. The biggest and best battery life? Like the battery life is the best and the battery life is also the biggest? Huh? ~2026-63286-2 (talk) 09:24, 29 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Like the battery life is the best and the battery life is also the biggest? My guess is that they meant that those models have the biggest battery, for some value of "biggest" (largest maximum amount of energy storable?), and the longest battery life, probably meaning "how long it can work before it needs to be recharged", of all iPhone models. If so, much, but not necessarily all, of the greater battery life may be due to the greater battery size.
But, yeah, it's a clumsily-written sentence - and, more importantly, it needs a reliable source for the claim. Such a source might also make it clearer what the claim really is. Guy Harris (talk) 11:41, 29 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Add "Introduced" date.

introducion date is in January 9 2007. Bougaumau (talk) 14:35, 6 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

oh, nvm you can not reply I just wanted to move the introduction date a bit Bougaumau (talk) 14:38, 6 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Define "introduced". Jobs announced that Apple would be offering a smartphone on 2007-01-09 at Macworld. However, you couldn't actually get one anywhere until 2007-06-29 in the US, and it became available later in other countries.
What the article currently says is "The first-generation iPhone was announced by then–Apple CEO and co-founder Steve Jobs on January 9, 2007, at Macworld 2007, and launched later that year." This mentions the announcement date and indicates that you could actually get them later that year. Guy Harris (talk) 21:55, 3 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
