I agree about the merge, but I'm not sure how to go about it; the Artificial intelligence agent page will need reworked into different sections, since it focuses on "agent environments," and also mentions "software, hardware, and otherwise" classes of agents. I disagree. Intelligent Agents are based on a given set of rules. Artificial Intelligence implies the ability to learn. CCollins

I agree as both articles cover closely related material.. BUT they should be merged under "Intelligent Agents". Intelligent agents are generally defined as agents employing AI methodologies while the term Artificial intelligence agent isn't used anywhere in academia. In other words, we should stick to terminology actually employed.

Also I'd like to question the validity of the material on the page at the moment.

Intelligent agents are definitely not limited to a given set of rules but are as intelligent implies able to learn & adapt. The bots discribed here, however are not necessarily intelligent, but rather applies to software agents in general, and this article is suggested to be merged as such.
