other issues
The points raised about library management are all true, of course. There are a couple of other issues that might be highlighted. These include:
- the management of personnel within the library [among other things such issues as professional, para-professional and non-professional staff and their roles; changing nature of library work and workplaces; changing structures in libraries]
- the management of budgets
- the integration of libraries in their wider organisations [read: politics?]
- the changing nature of information and its communication, and the significance of that for libraries and similar organisations.

library technical services
This article throws together issues of library management, the long-range planning handled by the head of the library or its board of directors, and library technical services, which deals with the day-to-day decisions of cataloging, acquisitions, etc. which are handled by library assistants and their supervisors. I'll create separate articles when I have time. GUllman 20:32, 7 Apr 2004 (UTC)
Library constructs
I added a section that describes the most common library constructs and the dewey decimal system. My Best, --FGuerino (talk) 20:11, 23 August 2013 (UTC)
