Talk:MGWR Class L

Article creation Notes

This article was created to provide some bare details and a simple statement about the locomotive class and one reference, mainly to satisfy an existing redlink from the Steam locomotives of Ireland article and to allow a link from the Ballaghaderreen branch line article. Non public domain images exist for this class. I am leaving this article for others to develop ... working out the differences might be good! Djm-leighpark (talk) 13:34, 10 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Article Renamed to MGWR Class L

I have recently gained access to book Locomotives of the Midland Great Western Railway which says for practical purposed MGWR Class Ln/L/Lm GSR Class 563(J16)/573(J18)/594(J19) [p195]. I have concluded to use MGRW Class L for the article name and likely MGWR Class Ln and MGWR Class Lm will be re-directs and some point. The redirect from MGWR Classes L and Lm will be likely deleted when removed from articles. That my plan anyway. Djm-leighpark (talk) 13:47, 14 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Differences L/Lm - J18/J19

While the Ln class is relatively distinct the L/Lm J19/J18 are somewhat harded to disentwine, not helped by a rebuilds. It is not a straight 1:1 mapping between J19&L and J18 and Lm, agin complicated by rebuilds. This is meant to help people improving the article.
