What about MRI's? Does microblading have the same cautions as "permanent makeup?

I would like to propose some edits

Hello, I am new to editing in Wikipedia and I am currently taking a class in which the assignment is to get more involved with Wikipedia. I was instructed to find a topic that interests me, that I have experience in and do some research through Wikipedia. I am a professional, licensed Aesthetician as well as a professional, licensed tattoo artist. I am certified and very experienced in Microblading. I have found a small correction that I would like to point out on this page. It is stated that Microblading is a permanent tattoo, which it actually is considered semi-permanent. It typically lasts around 3 years before fading. The main difference between a permanent tattoo and a semi-permanent tattoo (Microblading) is that with Microblading, we only use blades and needles (used for shading) that go within the epidermis (the outter layer of your skin) and permanent tattooing will place ink into the dermis (the more inner layer of skin).

Here are a few credible sources. One of the sites is a school that is well known in the midwest and provides certification for Microblading. https://www.gemineyestudio.com/microblading https://www.cosmopolitan.com/style-beauty/beauty/a3884218/eyebrow-microblading-semi-permanent-tattoos/ https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/320200#risks https://www.elle.com/uk/beauty/a31566/microblading-eyebrows/ https://swina.swiha.edu/what-is-microblading/ https://behacks.com/nanoblading-vs-microblading/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Azharislampk (talkcontribs) 20:32, 3 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Safety - patch test

I see my edit was removed. There really should be a reference to requiring a patch test in the safety section. That's an essential step towards avoiding complications.

No problem if you don't think the citation I used was suitable, it's not my site. But their information is spot on. Would it not be better to simply change the citation rather than remove the reference to needing a patch test? PMU monkey (talk) 12:39, 28 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
